Will not fit without replacement part or socket. Faulty construction.
As others have said, this doesn't fit all of the cars he claims, at least not without cutting off about 1/4 inch of the bulb socket like I did. Or, as others have said, use a rotary sander in the transparent part to remove one of the 3 grooves that protrude inside the part. Whichever method you choose, the lamp will come into contact with the clear plastic, which can melt the case or cause discoloration and dim lighting. I used it on an 07 Hummer H3. Next time I'd happily spend $24 on a GM part since it comes with the bulb, socket and all.
