It didn't seem to work at first

I got scared when I saw the negative reviews but was thrilled when I twisted the socket and it fitted perfectly. Just take your time and it will work fine

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not reliable

Luminaire does not fit

Externally identical to the original block. However, the interior of the case is too small to accommodate the cartridge even without the bulb.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Transparency

NOT suitable for Chevrolet Impala 2012

You have to use a grinding tool to finish the bulb evenly and it won't rotate after that because the clear plastic is too thick. Just spend $$$ and get the GM version.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

Perfect for Ford Fairmont 78-83

Perfect for my 78 Mercury Zephyr as it should be, GM stole the lightweight construction. I put in a bulb, the socket is exactly the same, and used little metal clips to hold it in place like Ford did. See photos of the original Ford part and the "original" GM design.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Working speed

Will not fit 2002 Chevy Cavalier

The correct part I needed for my car was GM 16515822. FYI only. Others have mentioned it. This part has a few extra pieces of plastic in the lens that won't allow you to fit a bulb or LED 194. Otherwise it looks like an identical match but it doesn't work. I thought Dorman was a reputable OEM replacement brand, but that's clearly not the case.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

Will not fit without replacement part or socket. Faulty construction.

As others have said, this doesn't fit all of the cars he claims, at least not without cutting off about 1/4 inch of the bulb socket like I did. Or, as others have said, use a rotary sander in the transparent part to remove one of the 3 grooves that protrude inside the part. Whichever method you choose, the lamp will come into contact with the clear plastic, which can melt the case or cause discoloration and dim lighting. I used it on an 07 Hummer H3. Next time I'd happily spend $24 on a GM part

Pros
  • Gorgeous construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
