This sturdy and stable stand keeps my iPad off the table, great for Facetime and general reading. Because it doesn't wobble, it's easy to control on the stand. Of course, it would also be great for a phone. It's a good size for both, and the weighted base gives it a solid range of use. You can raise and lower the head in a range of just under two inches and tilt it from 45 degrees to almost vertical. The inclination is very pleasant, although the height adjustment doesn't bother me much. Overall a very good stand.
