This thing bugs me a little. This was my first purchase of a dehydrator and for me it wasn't the price it was the size. I didn't want it to be the size of Texas and take up my entire kitchen. Despite being smaller than most, this one is still quite large. It seems like it takes a really long time to dehydrate things and without the damn timer you can't just set it and forget it. I bought this to cook chicken that seems to take 10 hours to cook. So if I don't start it before noon I feel like I won't be able to go to bed until it's done. If it had a timer it would turn off when it was done and I could go about my business. NEVER do anything that lasts 8-13 hours without a timer.
