I will start off by saying the unit itself before plugged in looks very much like a chrome ball and is visually pleasing. I ordered one unit and plugged it in and it is absolutely stunning when turned on. The problem I had with the first unit is the hole in the top was drilled off center in within a half an hour my countertop was covered in diffuser oil. That's the diffuser creates the Mist the Mist was running down inside the ball and out the bottom of the unit. It renders at 100% useless. I contacted Revain what you told me if I sent them the unit back they would send me another one which they immediately sent a replacement. I assembled it and this one was drilled properly and I was very happy about that. However the second unit only half of the ball actually lights up.Not sure what the process is and how they create the Speedy light images possibly a laser hitting the glass during the manufacturing but only half of the glass has the 3D luck the other half remains looking like a chrome sphere which totally kills the overall look of the unit. This one does work but again absolutely useless. Now I'm stuck with two units and have to drive to UPS to return them. Have a couple diffusers at my house and these are by far the loudest of any I have owned or any that I currently own. It's not that the sound is overwhelming but it's a high pitch sound from the ultrasonic device inside so it's a very annoying sound. As much as a well-functioning unit would look I don't think I could probably recommend them since I received two units in a row that are defective. I hesitate on ordering from any other company because quite often there from the same manufacturer under different names. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Because I really wanted an additional diffuser for my office I used a piece of silicone tubing to redirect the ultrasonic mask threw the ball that was drilled off center. I'm probably going to keep this one but unfortunately every time I assemble a it's going to be a bit of a hassle after putting new water and oil each day.
