Great product for small appliances

PIC Gold induction cooker as advertised. The water boils so fast I had to change my cooking method to keep up. It is very easy to clean and creates hot spots in the center of the pot, about 3" from the center (6" diameter). This is mitigated by the use of three-layer pans with good heat dissipation. the top of the pot or pan for about 90 sec. Cheaper pans, including some from Nu Wave, have a thin magnetic plate attached to the bottom of the pan and heat dissipation isn't as quick or complete. PIC's fault, but more pans of wine. Cast iron utensils get very hot, but still hot in the center until the heat can be dissipated. Cooks much faster and cleaner which I haven't cooked on the stove since I bought two PICS. A third would be good. Also note if you have typical 15 amp circuits or better yet 20 amp circuits you must use each in their own circuit. Two will definitely throw a breaker if both are on high power. I found my kitchen has 4 circuits, two in the typical spot and one for the microwave and a separate one for disposal. I power each block on a separate circuit and have never flipped a knife switch, even with both blocks on the stove. The coils are 8" in diameter according to the marking on the cooktop, but the heating circle shows 6" when boiling water with the rest of the pan - up to 12" it starts boiling about 1 minute after the inner circle (bubble pattern on bottom ). However, a 3 quart pot about 1/2 full of water will fully top boil in less than 1 minute. Again, pots have a big impact on this. The temperature control allows me to cook 3QT popcorn in less than 2 minutes, from the moment I put the Crisco in the pot to the moment I put the popcorn in. I don't have to shake the pan, and it never burned, even when left on the stove for 20 seconds after the last grain had exploded. I start greasing at 375 degrees and lower the temperature to 350 degrees about 30 seconds later when I pop in the popcorn. After 90 seconds everything is ready. Then I set the temp to 175 and pour in the oil until I put the lid on it, the oil melts but doesn't burn. Then I buttered the popcorn and my skillet. In less than 5 minutes I'll be back at my show with hot popcorn and cleaning supplies. i love this block The only question is how long it will last, but no questions so far.
