Review on Big Red House Resistance Flexibility by Derek Cage

Good potholders although a bit big

I know that potholders usually come in one size that fits everyone but I think they should make them small/medium and large, especially as they mostly (not all) are women who use oven mitts, or at least most women use them more than men, and most women have small hands! What did you say? That's the only thing I want to change about these mittens. They're a little big for me (see photo of my other oven mitt) but I feel totally safe in them :-) By safety I mean I'm the kind of person who gets burned because they either forget to put the oven mitt on use or the glove does not protect me well enough. I don't know about you, but it takes me at least 3-5 seconds to get everything I take out of the oven and "land" on the countertop - some oven mitts just don't hold up and I can feel my fingers . gets hot or worse, the glove simply burns and smells afterwards and offers even less protection! These gloves are really good in that regard! I made zucchini muffins today (my first low carb muffins!) and these oven mitts have kept me safe and healthy! I like the color and the fact that they are a mix of silicone and cotton - separately? I just don't like silicone gloves - they're too faux and uncomfortable, and just cotton gloves aren't strong enough, but silicone and cotton together? They are the perfect combination of strength and softness. I highly recommend them, the only thing I would ask for a change from the manufacturer is to make them available in at least medium and large sizes. Next to? I love my oven mitts and know that they not only make my baking better but safer too!

Pros
  • Potholders and Potholders
Cons
  • Large and bulky
