Terrible build quality resulted in two very bad burns

After a few months of owning these gloves they both had 2 large holes in different places. The seams just come undone and look very cheap. I've burned myself twice already and have to throw these out and buy new ones (from a different brand of course). One night, as I was removing a ribeye steak from a cast iron skillet in a 450 degree oven, I felt a shock go through my entire body. As soon as I looked at the pot holder I understood why (see photo). If the Big Red House reads this, give me the…

Flexible Heat Resistant Cloud Bracers LOVE YOU

Perfect length (covers lower half of forearm high enough to avoid wand burns but not so high on arm that it looks like you're in Plaster). The soft terry cloth lining is absolutely the most comfortable and flexible I've seen in a glove. The gloves are flexible enough not to strain your arms or fingers (no cramps!) and give you a reliable feel for where the rim of the pan is in your hands. The outer silicone strips are optically thin, but very effective. I was able to keep the pan fresh off the…

Very uncomfortable and not good for hands

I've waited a month to write a review so I can try what they deserve. I wanted to like these potholders. You look good. They prevent me from burning my hands when removing hot food from the oven. Unfortunately, they are uncomfortable and sewn together in such a way that they are extremely difficult to use and thumb to grip. As you may know, the thumb helps when picking something up; Difficult to pick up anything without a thumb, let alone a metal object 375F (190C). The problem seems to be that

Good potholders although a bit big

I know that potholders usually come in one size that fits everyone but I think they should make them small/medium and large, especially as they mostly (not all) are women who use oven mitts, or at least most women use them more than men, and most women have small hands! What did you say? That's the only thing I want to change about these mittens. They're a little big for me (see photo of my other oven mitt) but I feel totally safe in them :-) By safety I mean I'm the kind of person who gets…
