Perfect length (covers lower half of forearm high enough to avoid wand burns but not so high on arm that it looks like you're in Plaster). The soft terry cloth lining is absolutely the most comfortable and flexible I've seen in a glove. The gloves are flexible enough not to strain your arms or fingers (no cramps!) and give you a reliable feel for where the rim of the pan is in your hands. The outer silicone strips are optically thin, but very effective. I was able to keep the pan fresh off the grill for 3 minutes (yes, I timed it) and my hand didn't get uncomfortably hot. Enough color options for most kitchens. And here's a subtle detail that I really like: The hanging loop is sewn down the middle of the glove, not along the side seam. This allows the mittens to hang vertically. The best potholders I've ever used. Hope they stand the test of time!
