The volume control works well, it takes a while to insert the wire into the contacts. DO NOT overtighten the small set screw, be careful it works perfectly. I ended up applying a small bead of silicone sealant around the gasket before closing the bezel and then a small bead along the outside edge to keep water/snow/hot tub water out of the box. Operationally, once I had the correct ohm settings, the speakers sounded great! Volume has small "clicks" for each level, works really well for finding and saving a spot.
