Review on Petmate Fresh Flow Replacement Filters Pack - Set of 3 Filters by Lisa Frank

The original Petmate filters were built to last and did a great job filtering water for pet fountains. While the packaging is the same, these "upgraded" filters are inferior. They do not stay in place like the original filters because they are fragile. Unfortunately I have not found any other product that works for the Petmate fountain. I've seen other reviewers mention using an aquarium filter and I've tried that too. I found the aquarium filter to be a little better than this "upgraded" filter, but it still didn't work as well as the original Petmate filter. The problem is that drinking fountains don't work without a filter because the motor is too dirty. I don't understand why Petmate went from a good product to a poor quality product. However, as a result of this Petmate decision, I have switched to a different manufacturer's fountain who continue to supply good replacement filters.
