Review on 🔇 Enhance Your Ride with Walker Exhaust Quiet-Flow 22783 Exhaust Muffler: A Sound Solution for a Quieter Drive by Jason Gopinath

Perfect match for the '95 Corolla wagon, easy installation, lifetime warranty.

Bought for a 1995 Corolla station wagon that I am restoring for my daughter's first car. Can't say anything about durability yet, but it turned without any problems. Be sure to order the Walker 31334 exhaust gasket for the intake. I also ordered an 18-8 stainless steel hex head bolt, smooth finish, hex head, external hex drive to DIN 933/ISO 3506, right hand thread, metric thread, 20mm length and nuts in case I ever need to take it out. again I wouldn't have to deal with rust. I've found that the easiest way to remove an old muffler from rubber hangers is to cut the fasteners off the old muffler and then thread them through the rubber. You should at least smear them with penetrating oil if you want to take them off. A functional difference between this muffler and the one I replaced (other than the SS design) is the small drain hole on the front underside of the can. This is where the old one rusted, and a drain hole will likely extend the life. I didn't notice any noticeable noise coming from the drain hole, and the muffler sounds nice and quiet. Another difference is that the old muffler's inlet flange was threaded and only used two bolts. This one is unthreaded and has gaps, so you will need nuts and bolts. I also recommend using flat washers and either lock nuts or lock washers. Hopefully I won't have to invoke the warranty, but this is a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. You must take the worn muffler and receipt to the original dealer/installer or Tenneco dealer for inspection and replacement under this warranty, which may not be practical. I bought mine direct from Revain for less than $100 and am very satisfied. At least I don't have to worry about the damper anymore.
