I bought this to replace the electric ignition in my Gibson oven (circa 2015). These new nitride igniters appear to have a lifespan of 5 to 7 years, so they failed "on time" at 7 years. This was a very simple 1 screw replacement but required stripping and connecting 2 wires directly to pigtails using the ceramic caps provided. Please note that in my case it was possible to diagnose corrosion with a flashlight after the main plate was removed. Corrosion prevented the igniter from working RELIABLY and deteriorated over time. My HVAC friend couldn't find that time, so I found it myself (without calling him back). DO NOT FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE POWER BEFORE ACCESSING THE INTERNAL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT! IF THERE IS NO SWITCH ON THE OVEN, CUT THE GLASS (OR ALWAYS CUT THE OPENING!).
