Potentially Useful Item, ALL ON TV

So I haven't used this product extensively, but it has some features that can be really useful if they work. Of course, the EVERYONE ON TV products are notoriously disappointing. However, I really hope this product lasts. It is different from your regular tape measure. Instead of the usual rigid "tape" that you pull out to measure distance, this product has a rope that you pull out to wrap around oddly shaped or awkwardly shaped objects and get a digital measurement. For example, you can wrap it around a basketball or similar and get an accurate measurement of its circumference - which is impossible with a regular tape measure. I tested the quality of this feature and the digital measurements appear to be accurate. The second but less useful feature is a small spinning wheel. You roll the wheel along the object you want to measure and get a numeric indication of how far the wheel rolls. This is a less efficient function than a rope because if you're not careful the wheel will slide along the subject instead of rolling and of course you'll get inaccurate readings. The problem is that the wheel is small and made of plastic. It would be much more effective if there was a small strip of rubber around the circumference of the wheel to hold the object being measured. The least impressive thing is the ability to measure with a laser. It is unreliable and not very accurate. Given that quality laser rangefinders exist, it would probably be better to delve into these options than to rely on them. The device is cheaply made and sold for a relatively low price. But I assume that it is still used.
