The item advertised does NOT have a siren but the bar is really awesome. The rod will need to be modified by drilling holes in it and inserting a pin from a local hardware store. My 130 lb child was able to force the door open and the adjustment knob on the steering wheel failed and got pinched between two sleeves. In other words, if you really need security, this can work IF the person trying to break into your home is a child. But. If you are looking for a really good bar then this is it! PS They have really good customer service to answer your questions if you have a problem but when they asked me to send pictures of the problem I did. Then AGAIN asked for additional photos. Nice people but too much work for a $20 safety bar that won't work without rework. ONLY buy it if you can change it.
