Good product, learning curve for a stranger

I used this particular green dye for years when I was younger and decided to try again. It does what it says on the tin and colors pre-lightened hair deeply and long-lasting. (Note: other reviewers have dyed their children's hair this color and have had no luck; this may be due to the porosity of the hair. Bleached hair takes this type of dye better than naturally blonde hair.) Cons: The product has changed something over the years. in terms of consistency. Very fat. This was corrected by adding a small amount of conditioner and mixing thoroughly. This didn't affect the effectiveness of the dye, but it was a problem getting out of the bottle. It stains skin and other surfaces worse than, say, manic panic. This should be avoided by using petroleum jelly on the hairline and when preparing the area for coloring. However, it does happen. On dark hair, as I recall, it doesn't last. Some of my hair was bleached just a medium blonde and that's not usually a problem, the color was usually dark emerald and the rest light green. Ironically, this time some of my hair is messy and almost black. It's not easy to fix and so my color work is a bit sketchy. It leaves your hair dry. Use conditioners and hair masks regularly afterwards, especially if you have previously bleached your hair. Not as conditioning as the Iroiro or Manic Panic brands, but more pigmented. Pros: Highly pigmented and long lasting compared to other brands. Affordable, acts less than arctic fox and manic panic. About the same as punk paint and splat. Typically a nice color payoff without using a ton of product. I had almost half a bottle left after completely saturating my shoulder length bean. (Reminder: I added some conditioner to the product.) Bottom line - it does the job, and does it well. A utility option I would recommend for someone on a budget.
