Review on 10Ft Patio Umbrella With Infinite Tilt And Resilient Recycled Fabric Canopy: Perfect Addition To Your Outdoor Living Space by Tanya Meyers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lasted about two years.

The sellers reached out and offered me a full refund after they saw this review, and ask me to update the review to at least four stars. They also claimed that they've re-designed their umbrella to make it sturdier. I can't verify that, but I felt that it was reasonable to update the review given their willingness to send a refund. The umbrella worked fine for about two years (almost exactly 24 months). We kept it covered during the rainy season and our backyard is surrounded by hills, so it's not too windy. Nevertheless, just a couple of days ago the umbrella mount snapped in two (see pictures and say hello to the tiny spider:). There was hardly any wind that day, so I'm guessing the metal had been fatiguing steadily for some time before it snapped. If they had just used a higher grade of metal for the mounts it would still be working fine (its functionality, before it broke, was good, easy to use, etc.). Caveat emptor.

Pros
  • The canopy fabric is fade-resistant and will retain its color even after extended use
Cons
  • May not provide enough shade coverage for extremely hot or sunny days
