Quick and easy installation on the 2014 Audi Q7 Prestige

We were hoping for a similar box at a lower price, designed for the same navigation box (MMI 3G+) but with a different chassis (A4/A5 / etc.), I bought this unit for $299. It was well packaged with much better instructions than the carlinkit device attempted. Installation went smoothly, it included the required MMI Aux-In connector for proper operation which appears as an option on other products. Make sure you have a set of Audi wireless keys to remove the head unit, a #2 flathead screwdriver to press the two tabs on the HVAC faceplate, and a towel to protect your switch/console. and additional cables that fit into the dashboard; The instructions even included suggestions for different orientations. I didn't disassemble the glove box and found ways to route a USB input and a spare HDMI cable to a stretchable mesh pocket on the passenger side in the footwell. The Wi-Fi antenna was routed the same way and then relocated behind the passenger side of the center console. The front end seems to be working fine, I need to ride it for a couple of weeks before increasing my 4 star rating. up to 5 stars. Another thing to note, this device only gets power when the car is on (may work in ACC, to be confirmed) but the MMI normally stays on when you turn the car off, but not off have taken the car. That device is disabled in this scenario, which doesn't significantly affect how well the device integrates with the plug-in-play wiring and easily navigates the menus using the MMI knob.
