Comes with a typical cigarette lighter powered airbag inflation pump. The bed is inflatable, consists of 4 parts, two at the head end. It takes more work to inflate/deflate, but I see the benefit of firmness adjustment and a more stable cushion. The bed matches the S model very well. The "pillow" section extends beyond the back of the second row seat headrest, which can fall down a bit. The bed section compensates for the 2-3 inch rise between the seat back and the floor of the trunk, making sleeping comfortable. The upper resembles Alcantera for a luxurious feel, while the lower half is a regular plastic air mattress. Strong enough not to poke holes from blunt objects. It takes some time (5 minutes) to inflate or deflate. Nothing I would do within 1-1.5 hours of a full charge. But I bought it to put on my Model S (2016) and dreamed of the opportunity when I could drive across the country and just blow this kid up and "sleep". under the stars. Well, that opportunity never arose. But it's still best to keep it in the car, just in case.
