Review on GearMo USB Serial Adapter - RS232 DB-9 920K with FTDI Chip, TX/RX LED - Compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10 by Seth Damain

UPDATE 2019: Still stable 0 issues. Initial review: I bought this USB to serial adapter because another one I had was causing seizures (driver and manf issues). I picked this guy out at the last minute before going to a customer site. I've been using it for almost 80 hours since I bought it and it hasn't let me down yet, changed set-top boxes, changed bitrate, etc., nothing bothers it! The sending and receiving indicators are a nice touch (it's nice to know you're sending data to an unresponsive console before reloading anything). All in all it was a low price, well built and still works. Pros: Low cost. Good design. RX/TX lights. tried (various CISCOs, firewalls, security devices, door programmers, py boards, etc.). Received in a day (per night)! Cons: Slightly larger than my last one, but not huge. Comes with a small mini disc (I just don't like mini discs) The USB cable is short but not critical, I believe there was one with a longer cable from the same manf but it was around 6'. Another inch on the cord would be perfect, but again, it doesn't matter so I didn't drop the star.
