I've had this alternator in the van for about 2 weeks and not anymore run in. any difficulty. However, the insulator's plastic bushing is not grooved to ensure a tight fit on the electrical connector like the original alternator I removed. I only realized this when I had already installed the new one and ended up having to disassemble it and replace the bushings with the old alternator, which means partially disassembling both parts. It probably took me an extra 30 minutes because I didn't understand it at first.
