My room is down the hall from another family member. Sometimes she complains that my computer speakers are too loud. I do my business in the room. i want privacy Sometimes I walk in and out and forget to close the door. This is a relatively light wooden door with a hollow core. I thought about the loops approach. Reviews are not very good. Then I found it closer. It's not big, clunky, or expensive like a commercial or outdoor door closer. Quite simply, a spring that closes the door. It was very easy to install. Some previous complaints about noise at work. The manufacturer seems to have responded by liberally lubricating the springs, which some users have had to do. The lowest setting closes the door without locking it. Beautifully soft and quiet. Keep it close to the frame. The next position actually locks the door. Sounds like a light hit. I try but I think I prefer it quieter to avoid noise in the middle of the night.
