Works perfectly! on fittings

This item is perfect! I'm crazy about the door closing behind me, but to close it completely I have to slam it, which I don't like. This device solved that problem. Closes the door perfectly. And when I come back with a full hand, I just stop it before it clicks so I can open it hands-free. If I only leave the door open from about a quarter to the full, it closes perfectly every time. My door is hollow so it's fairly light, but I didn't put it any closer to full strength. He could definitely…

Don't be into hardware

First of all thank you to the seller who opened the package for me! (see photo) I received a clearly used item. Everything looked intact, so I installed it anyway. Installed very easily, no problems. But my door is a very light internal door at the top of the stairs and this thing just doesn't do the job. It usually swings so far that it's difficult to hold it when my hands are full. I was hoping that this device would securely close the door, although I didn't really expect it to be strong…

Almost perfect bedroom door closer

My room is down the hall from another family member. Sometimes she complains that my computer speakers are too loud. I do my business in the room. i want privacy Sometimes I walk in and out and forget to close the door. This is a relatively light wooden door with a hollow core. I thought about the loops approach. Reviews are not very good. Then I found it closer. It's not big, clunky, or expensive like a commercial or outdoor door closer. Quite simply, a spring that closes the door. It was very

Sounds like a small gong when the door is open. Closes well but

It may have more closing force than the hinge pins I've used in the past. But the types of hinge pins have more variation than fine-tuning the closing force. This is on a 30 inch hollow panel door inside the house. The closing force is either unlocked or slammed. Nothing in between. When the door opens and closes, the spring in this thing also makes a little gong. Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. 3 star rating…

Suitable for lighter doors with minimal use, with limitations

This device is a little different from traditional "door closers" but can be used with some limitations. First, it MUST be installed in a ROBUST location. Because of the narrow width, there is a HUGE amount of tension in a small area. If it's not securely fastened, it just comes loose. Also, this item is only for EASY doors! I tested it on a typical front door and to get it to work you have to push (pull) the inner spring too hard! In other words, if used on a heavy door, it won't last long…
