Review on Prime Line KC17HD Safety Spring Closer by Bobby Blanton

It may have more closing force than the hinge pins I've used in the past. But the types of hinge pins have more variation than fine-tuning the closing force. This is on a 30 inch hollow panel door inside the house. The closing force is either unlocked or slammed. Nothing in between. When the door opens and closes, the spring in this thing also makes a little gong. Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. 3 star rating but I will downgrade it to 1 star. I didn't realize how much I disliked this closer until I started listing my problems. Next time I need a closer I'll buy a hinge pin. I would return this one, but now I have 5 holes that need filling and painting. Oh one more thing, this closer is not a candidate for a modern art museum. Imagine my wife eventually making me take it off. So I might as well take it off now, get out the sandpaper, paint it and send this Klodhopper back for a refund. Now I deserve.
