Been using 24mm 1.4 for over 6 months. This is by far my favorite lens. As a guide I also have 50mm 1.4, 24-70 2.8 and 35mm 1.8. Pros: 1. For me the main reason to buy this lens is the duty to control the field. I like this lens for ambient portraits when I want subjects to be sharp and surroundings visible but less pronounced.2. Low light shots at 1.4 are great. But I don't expect low pile to shoot at f1.4. The image quality with an open aperture is excellent. No compromise. With its excellent high ISO performance and great flashes, I honestly don't have to rely on this lens when shooting in low light. But he has an advantage when it's needed.3. Very little distortion, if any. Distortion correction is not required, especially on the DX body where it works like a 35mm lens. This means less Photoshop work.4. Given its quality, I would call it lightweight. Don't get me wrong, this is a heavy lens, but it's half the size and weight of the 24-70 2.8.5. 24 1.4 focuses faster than my 50 and 35.6. It is very sharp at all apertures. This is a great lens for FX or DX bodies. If you like wide angles, this will be your favorite lens, go for it. Hope that helps.
