I don't know about hair extensions or any other description of this set of pliers but as regular needle nose pliers I think they fit. I like that they have small gripping teeth to really hold small items. Some plier grips are smooth to prevent scratches and dents, but they work well for materials where you need a little grip. They are small/medium sized, suitable for jewelry and crafts and being solid metal they seem quite strong for their size. The point is relatively small and nimble. I only used them to thread my violin strings through the tuning pegs where my fingers couldn't get and they fit perfectly. It's good for the price.
