Note that these cables are not perfect. You get what you pay for. My cables, like some of the negative reviews, have audio glitches and buzzing. This is very noticeable at higher volumes. I don't know if that's because they aren't shielded audio cables or not. The image quality has improved a lot and I'll leave it alone for that reason. I upgraded from 480 to 1080i on my original Xbox. Looks good, but the hum is a problem. It's not a home sound issue, it's directly related to those cheap cables. I'm an audiophile and this was a deal breaker for me. Now I will try to order Microsoft cables.
