I bought it for my husband for his birthday because he gets up so early and likes to easily see what time it is. I replaced a similar watch that became blurry and we couldn't read it anymore. The old version was flimsy but did the job until it was blurry. This light shining on the ceiling and projecting time is so bright I could literally pull out a book to read. It keeps us up at night, so it doesn't serve its purpose at all. So if you're sensitive to light at all, this isn't the watch for you. Everything on the ceiling is crystal clear, unlike our old clocks. This is a great watch if you are looking for a night light watch combo. I love a darker room to sleep in and I really can't believe how much light it puts into a bedroom with a 14 foot ceiling. I bought it the day before his birthday and the return period has expired and I can't return it. That's why I hate it even more.
