I paid $200 for a replacement I just installed and none of the screens have a latch to hold the screen in place. They are perfect for securing the screen so it doesn't move. If someone wants to go through the screen to get in, they will, but why make it easy for them by having a screen that just pops up so you don't even know they're in? They hold the screens in place so they can't be lifted from the outside. I like opening the street level windows from above and the screens keep sliding down. They keep them in place to keep the flies away. They are also good for blocking the window above the air conditioner so the window cannot be opened from the outside. They don't offer a top-notch security system, but they do a good job of keeping screens and windows in place for a great price.
