For the first time I bought a pair of European made Sigvari in Switzerland. In the medical supply store I was told in detail that I always wear a pair of rubber gloves when putting on and taking off the hose, wash them only in cold water with mild detergent, line dry and carefully care for them. I have 3 pairs of Sigvaris from Europe that are over 4 years old and they are all still in great condition (no holes or scuffs!). However, they were much more expensive than the US-made Sigvaris. So when I saw the price of these Sigvaris I was blown away and thought they were a steal. Warning: These USA made Sigvaris are NOT good quality. They are much weaker, more like ordinary tights, and after three months (!) of the same gentle care I always give European tights, these American tights have long creases and finger holes. like regular tights. Given Ames Walker's return policy, which says they must be in their original packaging, for example (who always keeps the original packaging?), I also had no way to return this poor quality hose for a refund, which includes a restocking fee anyway would have . All in all, these Sigvaris are easily the most expensive regular tights I've ever bought and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
