I bought a Maxi Matic ERC-2010 rice cooker. Like any other simple rice cooker, the plugin cooks rice. Before the first use, I washed the insert pot with warm soapy water and cooked the rice and ate our family. The second time I tried putting the leftover rice in the fridge, I noticed the bottom of the rice was gray. I was shocked that we ate chemicals. I figured I didn't wash it thoroughly enough and washed the pot with soap and a sponge which gave a good scrubbing inside, it's stainless steel after all. The third time, I mainly cooked the rice to see if it was gray in color. The third time I also found some gray rice. I sent the rice cooker back immediately. It's a piece of shitty heavy metal that enters our bodies. This rice cooker is cheap stainless steel or just plated. Don't waste money.
