Worth the wait! - Auto & Vehicle Electronics

When we bought a new caravan this summer we knew we really needed a backup camera. This would allow us to see what is behind us while driving, as well as assist in parking/reversing the RV. We've done our homework and in most reviews the Furrion comes first. However, they only offered a 4.3-inch screen, while all other contenders had screens measuring 5.5-inches or larger. We were still undecided on where to go when we discovered that the Furrion now offers a 7-inch screen. SALE! Yes, it costs more than most other options. But considering how much we paid for our motorhome, it's worth it. Our tractor is over 20 feet long and our trailer is just over 35 feet (overall length). We had no problems connecting (synchronizing) to the camera during installation. We didn't have any video issues while driving - and we're on the freeway (higher speed) and winding/mountainous roads. We were lucky that our RV came "pre-wired" for the wireless camera system (mount and power) I can't tell you how easy/difficult it can be to add a camera to an RV without wiring it first. The system can be expanded to add a total of 4 cameras (rear, front, side). We can add the future. It also does a pretty good job with its night vision, especially when parking in the dark. My husband hated not being able to see what was happening behind us. Highly recommended if $ is not an obstacle for you op.
