While I like Bluetooth in many ways, there's something about the physical connection between devices. Like this adapter for your laptop. I was able to quickly connect OBDII (f150) to my laptop and run FORScan. I'm using the Lite version and still learning its ins and outs. But I was able to quickly find a setting to reset the BCM and battery cycle counter - since I just changed the battery and you need to tell the BMS that it's new. I assume this will work just as well when running data logging software to monitor engine performance.
