Durable but not easy
While K&N filters are great, they do require maintenance. That being said, if you don't mind after using it, take it off, dry it, and then re-oil it (but not too much) then it's fine. I decided to buy a second one to simplify this process, remove and replace, put a new one and timely service the old one.
