They didn't say that assembly is required. I have been working in production for over 20 years. With a little fiddling with 2 screwdrivers, I was able to complete the proprietary assembly process. The sound quality is so-so, on the radio I attribute it to the signal. Haven't tried the other features yet but will update when I do. Okay, here's an update: the CD works fine. The sound quality is much better when using a CD player. I also hooked up a cell phone with the Blu-Tooth feature and again the sound quality got a lot better. I've updated my overall rating to 4. I could have given it a 5 if it wasn't for the poor build. In general, if you want music in the garage, in the yard, by the pool. It's a pretty decent little music maker.
