Review on 14.25-inch Projector Wall Mount Arm - Unavailable (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Alejandro Lane

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wall mount only.

Due to the negative reviews, this does not include any hardware to install on your projector. But I appreciate what it is, a decent (not great) wall mount for your projector and mounting hardware. First, it looks and feels very strong. I mounted this on the back wall opposite the projection screen as my living room ceiling is not only sloped but VERY HIGH which would be a joke for a ceiling mount. The rig has 3 screw holes, the middle one is difficult to reach with a drill/screwdriver as as you can see from the product image it is right in the middle and some metal plates are blocking access with a wide drill. I had to manually tighten the middle screw. The top cylindrical horizontal projector mount is hollow and has holes like you can run cables through it to keep them out of view. Unfortunately, the BACK is so narrow near the wall mount that I can't get the HDMI/VGA cables out, so all my cables are twisted through the OUTER cylinder at the top. ugly! The UNIVERSAL mount is a round screw mount. Unfortunately, the projector mount I have doesn't fit this screw mount, which is good. I had to do something with MacGyver to make it work, but at least I was able to mount my projector after yelling at the tech gods who created this "universal" mount that had BOTH my hardware, but they belonged to different ones universes. So it mounts and it's a solid universal mount, you'll probably need to do more research (I'm done now) but the cable hole just doesn't work for anything other than RCA cables.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I won't say anything
