Review on 🍎 Effortlessly Slice and Core Apples with Prepworks by Progressive 16-Slice Thin Apple Slicer & Corer by Tina Waters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This slicer just changed my life.

I have used various 8 slice apple slicers for my children for the past 9 years and would have continued in my ignorance if Alton Brown had not used the 12 slice apple slicer for fine dining. I watched the apple pie episode when he pulls out this apple slice, which inspired me to buy my own apple slice. I usually cut apples with a figure 8 slicer and then cut those pieces in half again when making applesauce or slicing an apple for the sauce. Not only does this thing slice the apple into 16 slices, but when you close the bottom lid, it pops the slices and core out of the slicer! Pros: 16 slices perfect for applesauce, eating, dipping apples, pies, etc. Lid that pushes the core out and cuts out of the cutter, no more wrestling with that dumb core stuck in the cutter (that drove me crazy about the old one Cutter). The handles feel heavier than my old cutter. Bad: I can't think of anything. This is a huge improvement over my old cutter!

Pros
  • INNOVATIVE DESIGN: An attached protective sleeve used as a base keeps the apple slices and core off the blades. It is designed to protect fingers during use and to cover blades when stored.
Cons
  • Long delivery time
