Review on πŸ”§ Efficient Replacement Motor for Lomanco Power Vent: F0510B2944 by Charles Chambers

Looks just like the original 10 years old. the old motor was replaced by

My original Lomanco deflectors are 10 years old and their corners are spot welded to the deflector frame. I had to unbolt the worn motor from the brackets and then tilt it sideways to remove the blade before I could remove the old motor from the case. On later models, the mounting brackets are removable, allowing the motor and fan to be removed from the case at the same time. Knowing what I know now, I would replace the whole block instead of just replacing the motor. I'll do that next time I'm still alive here if it dies. There are lubricating slots on the top and bottom of both the old and new motor which I didn't know of before where you can put oil on the shaft to extend the life of the fan but of course you have to go to the attic to do this. That. Make sure the lube slots are facing up when the fan is in place to allow oil to enter.

Pros
  • Datura πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
