I bought this unit to monitor air conditioners in offices to see if the performance of the air conditioners could be improved with fewer compressor cycles and run time. I placed one next to the air ducts for each of the two air conditioners and two more in different parts of the office. Works perfectly. I can view data from anywhere in the world and the software creates great charts that are easy to manipulate and read. I see a sudden drop in temperature at the vents as each compressor turns on and see how long it runs before the graph shows a rise in temperature indicating the compressor has shut down. This probably covered the cost of the units many times over as we identified the best temperature to set each of the thermostats to achieve the greatest savings without changing the room temperature. Big pluses. It stores all data for many years and you can view them by year, month, day or hour. You can also export the data to Excel. Works flawlessly. I can enable push notification in the app and it will notify me when the temperature goes above or below the set range. The batteries can be charged via USB, but have lasted almost two months so far and are still showing full power. Contrary to some reports, this data is sent every 10 minutes, which is not entirely accurate. It sends data every few seconds when the temperature changes by more than 0.5 degrees. If the temperature is stable, it will be updated every 10 minutes. Range is good, I've moved devices about 60 feet from the base and haven't had any issues. The site is great for PC or Mac. Beautiful large graphics with high resolution. Easy navigation and all necessary functions. The application is also very good, but I like doing analysis on the PC screen. APP push notification is a great feature. Please note that when purchasing additional sensors, there are two models available from Revain. You need an updated model with a round plastic grille on the side.
