I used to buy a massage shampoo that was very different from this one (silicone bristles were hollow and matte rather than full and squeaky/shiny) but gave his away as a gift. It was way better than this thing. The only thing that works about this brush is that it's one piece, meaning mold can't get into the crevices. Otherwise, this brush feels very waxy on my hair, even when lathered with lots of shampoo. It doesn't glide smoothly, just wants to stick and tug at my hair instead of massaging my scalp like it should. Not to mention, the stiff bristles aren't stiff, so it's like scraping your scalp with needles. I'm not looking forward to using it in the shower. My hair is very greasy and feels like horsehair so I have to brush it out to get it completely clean. But I'll draw a line against unnecessary stretching and scalp abuse. I buy the old one and throw this one away.
