Loud like a big rig horn. Deep and powerful as hell. I have the smaller one and absolutely love it. I didn't want a train horn and bought a few others that were too big for me. definitely makes something. When I first installed it, I got a little carried away. A quick blast from that horn made the runner jump out of the way into the bushes in horror!
