Review on Mayfair 22ECA 000 Sculptured by Carlos Massey

I have to agree with several reviewers on some of the issues with this item. We also had a similar design from another manufacturer and it lasted a long time. However, this style no longer produces this style, and it was impossible to find such a style in stores. So we have bought 2 of these in the last 4 years which means we have to replace with the same toilet every 2 years. Both are broken/cracked in pretty much the same spot and the paint is also peeling under the seat from cleaners (or otherwise). Based on previous experience with other toilet seats (including from this manufacturer) we now seal exposed metal screws with a few coats of clear nail polish as they will eventually rust and leave a rust residue every time you lift and close the seat. In general we like the design as our decor is inspired by seashells but we are not entirely satisfied with the quality of the product.
