Review on Improved SEO: Kuryakyn 7732 - Wolo Bad Boy Air Horn Cover by Joshua Days

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Stay away. Died after 2 years. Kuryakin only covers 12 months. Expensive signal costs!

From original purchase May 2016: (see poor performance update below) I saw it was plastic based on reviews (thanks) but still had good reviews. The sound is amazing - the original classic Harley cool and steel bell, but sounded like a cute little car, not for a burly pig. And not noisy enough for safety with the windows closed. I did not connect the supplied fuse line and after a month I was able to supply power via the existing horn cable without any problems - and I have no qualms about honking the horn in front of many idiots at the intersection. Plastic - it has no mass. So the vibrations from my 2013 Road King Classic are making this thing vibrate more than the already vibrating engine it's attached to. So it's like fishing bait! This can be very attractive to many. So it's still cool, but on the verge of silly. At that price, they have to put a lot of steel in the horn to deaden the tremors. Or charge me more for a steel horn. Oh, and it installs in under 30 (using my existing wiring, mind you). Four stars because I'm still happy with the beep, the quality of the instructions and content, and the sound. Minus one for being close but not quite right. UPDATE JUNE 2018: AVOID! So I only use the horn on rare occasions like most people do. Given that I have a full six months of winter downtime, I'm guessing I put out 12 horns a year, maybe 20? When it stopped working after two years (compressor spins but no sound) I contacted Kuryakyn directly, knowing my 12 month warranty had expired. No matter how you look at it, 6 months, 2 years is 12 months, that's $10 a month on this thing! In fact, they said this was not a warranty case, adding that two years ago they didn't have an official Amazon retailer?! Wow. Brand new packaging from Revain. 20-40 beeps for about $110. Very unimpressed by Kuryakin about this. I would even dare to pay for his service, but nothing?!
