I hate to give 5 star reviews but this one really deserves it. I've read good reviews of Ritchey products and it belies them. Very strong when properly dressed. We've been using it for several months now. One thing I've read about similar items in other reviews is that they don't tighten well and either loosen or have play. I can say that there are no problems with this barrel. This is solid rock. I think the fact that it tightens on both sides really adds to the durability. The only thing that bothers me, and it's not worth taking the star off, is that there's no marking so you can't tell exactly what angle it's set to. I think it's really not necessary as I think it will last a long time, but it would be nice to know for reference if I ever want to order a non-adjustable one. Oh I kept the same length as my current stem and it was perfect. I thought that I might have to order it longer because of the angle, but in my case it wasn't necessary.
