This net is actually like a 1ft deep hammock, which means you can put things in it instead of just using it to store things so things don't fall out when you open it the hatch. So this is a great feature. The mesh is strong and the elastic feels firm. The only criticism is that no installation instructions were included. The top loops mate well with the factory 4Runner hooks in the top corners. I attached the bottom corner hooks to the hinged hooks on the deck, about 8 inches on each side. The bottom hooks have nowhere else to attach, so I think this is the way to go. Due to the 8-inch gap, items placed behind the grille (not inside) could theoretically fall out if placed too close to a corner, but we'll see.
