Good option for all encompassing relief for your feet, be it warm or cold treatments

This review is for the Hilph Ice Pack Slippers for Feet 2 Pack. These reusable Gel Ice Slippers are good for treating various foot ailments in terms of reliving symptoms. The nice thing is that even though they are called "Ice” packs, implying "cold”, they can also be used for warming heat treatments as well. For the cold type of treatment, it does take a little bit of advance planning since you put them into the freezer for 1.5 hours. You can do it less if you don’t want it quite as cold. Regardless, you have to be sure it is a comfortable temperature, and I think best used with socks as well just to protect the skin from the direct cold layer. It can also be heated in the microwave to warm up the gel, if what you need is heat applied to relieve foot symptoms. Don’t over heat them however because it could burst the slippers and get gel everywhere, so pay attention to the microwave kilowatt power and time. Start low and work your way up.The other thing to be aware of where some advance planning is required is to know that these are NOT intended or designed to walk around in, so you need to plan on sitting when wearing them. They are called "slippers”, but don’t treat these like you would normal house slippers. Just plan on relaxing while wearing. They are a good option for all encompassing relief for your feet, be it warm or cold treatments.

Pros
  • Unlike messy ice packs or wraps, the slipper design keeps the ice in place even when walking around
Cons
  • The slippers may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin
