I bought these to convert my spin bike pedals (SPD-SL) to platform pedals when my husband wants to use my spin Bicycle. This is a great and inexpensive way to do it. They go in easily, but removal requires a screwdriver to open the spring on the pedals and unscrew the platforms. You don't have the leverage of your entire leg to pull them off, all you have are your arms and platforms. If you take them off the pedals regularly, you can think of another way to get more leverage on the platforms to make them easier to take off, like slip-on toes.
