Review on ๐Ÿพ Kuryakyn Pet Palace: Ultimate Weatherproof Motorcycle Dog/Cat Carrier Crate by Andrea Thomas

My second pet palace.

I've had a pet palace for years. It was designed to fit on the luggage rack of a travel backpack. I felt uncomfortable with him there, so I put him in the passenger seat. My last was used by a York 7# that sadly died. Now I have "Shorty Jack", 14 #Jack Russell. She's a handful. With the old pet palace, she could reach the back of the passenger seat and chew on it. I just kept putting gorilla tape on it. Since a little bear cub appeared on the old pet palace, I bought this new style. The back of the new pet palace is higher and actually protects the back. It fits perfectly on the passenger seat of a Harley Tri Glide. The seat is a bit more difficult to put on than the old one, but once the straps are adjusted, the quick release buckles make it easy to put on and take off. They offer more space for a large dog and plenty of storage space. Water, food and some toys for the journey. Airflow is pretty good. The new version has a little more insulation and helps keep my pet a little cooler. (Tip: use a dog-friendly baby t-shirt and keep it damp when it's really hot. Evaporation will help keep you cool.) It's best to take breaks fairly frequently when it's really hot, just for the dog. Couldn't hurt you either. It can be used as a backrest, but my trike has a ribbed back. I'm not sure how long a pet palace will last with a driver leaning on it for hours. All in all, I really like the new version. Don't worry about damaging the speaker grille. because it fits very well. In addition, you no longer have to "nibble" on the passenger's back. I replaced the backrest...LOL.
