I ordered these for a holiday gift. The first time he used them, we noticed that once the ice began to melt, a white scum/residue appeared on the beverage that they were melting in. After looking online, we found that it could be from our hard water. We got bottled water and washed the molds and refilled them. Even after this, the scum continued to appear once the ice cubes began to melt. They will be returned. The only reason they got two stars is that they did make the solid ice shapes.albeit unusable ones.
