Badly done and dangerous! Shouldn't be on the market.

My 7 year old (who weighs 40-45 pounds, well below the maximum recommendation for this scooter) enjoyed riding this scooter for less than three months until one day the base/platform tore and caved in in two places, causing the base to hit the pavement and he fell forward and collapsed to the ground, scraping both knees. The section that holds everything together is only PLASTIC, not reinforced and clearly not durable. This is a hazardous item designed without child safety or durability in mind. A $50+ scooter shouldn't crack or break in less than 3 months of normal use. SAVE this brand!
